privacy

short version: no tracking cookies, no ads, no third-party analytics. i keep basic visit logs on my own database to see what gets read, and whatever you send me through a form.

what's stored

• visits. for each page view: the page, your ip address, rough location (country, region, city), network, browser, operating system and where you came from. this is how i see which posts are read. it isn't shared or sold.
• contact form. your name, email, message, ip address and country. a copy is emailed to me.
• estimate. your idea and answers. if you send it, your name and email too.
• ask rohan. the question you ask, with your ip address and country, to stop abuse.

cookies and storage

this site sets no cookies for visitors and keeps nothing in your browser. the admin area uses a login cookie from cloudflare access, for me only. if you're a network member and sign in, one cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days; signing out removes it.

the network

if you're in my network, i keep the profile you and i fill in: name, email, role, skills, location, rate, availability and links, plus the briefs you answer, the projects you're on, files you share, hours you log and our messages. profiles are visible only to other members, by first name and last initial; nothing about you is public. you can ask me to delete everything at any time from your profile page. members have their own, fuller privacy page inside the network. city search runs on this site, using place data from geonames (cc by 4.0); what you type isn't sent anywhere else.

who handles it

everything runs on cloudflare: hosting, the database, the ai that answers questions and drafts estimates, the spam check (turnstile) and email. if you book a call, that happens on cal.com under their own policy.

why

visit logs and spam checks are kept on the basis of legitimate interest: running the site and keeping it safe. form details are used only to reply to you.
